Yes I have jumped on the bandwagon like my fellow amazing bloggers and here is my gift guide for what my Christmas presents and sacks will be looking like under the tree this year.
I have compiled gifts and ideas for each of my child’s age group. Mainly based it around what we are getting them (or would like to have gotten them) and a few stocking fillers and smaller gift ideas as well. I have listed some of my fav Instagram stores on here who I will be purchasing from as I love supporting small where I can. In saying that I also like to be a smart shopper seeing as we are buying for 4 children so there will be some bigger chain stores mentioned as well.
6 to 24 months
I could not go past these adorable wooden toys from @childsmart.
They are beautifully designed and can fit any range of gift, begin a stocking filler or the actual main present. There are gorgeous train tables and little wooden cars to play with. JUST. DEVINE.
I usually like to add practicality to my Christmas gifts there for including gifts that the kids need, like clothing. This year I cannot get enough of how adorable the clothing is from @bamboolui. Their bamboo threads are to DIE FOR and are perfect and light weight through summer.
This is going to sound funny, but we are going to grab Jameson a bucket full of different shaped balls. HE IS OBSESSED!!! So a small soft buck and then add a soccer ball (Aldi had some great beach ones) tennis balls, plastic balls, foot balls (AFL and Rugby and Grid Iron) all different textures………I got this wonderful idea from my sister….she is so clever.
Lastly we couldn’t go past recommending the SmarTrike. I had always wanted to get Jameson one and if your child falls anywhere in this age gap I HIGHLY recommend investing in one. Jameson now prefers it so much more then his pram. These can be purchased through Toys R Us, Big W, Target, baby bunting and Harvey Norman……..We are lucky enough to be giving one away to a reader. Check back with us at the end of the blog for more details!!!
2 to 4 years
Any one heard of a Micro Scooter??? …….These are amazing. Our Girls have had these for 2 years now and they have so much fun on them. We grabbed ours from Toyworld and haven’t had one drama with it. Yes it’s a little on the pricey side but I have been so happy with the way they have lasted. This scooter has two wheels at the front and one at the back with a break resting above the back wheel and rides so smoothly. VERY IMPRESSED.
I am so in love with the little wooden cameras from @behindthetrees. If you haven’t checked them out yet IT’S A MUST. They are these gorgeous wooden cameras dipped in a variety of colours and if your child is anything like mine and a little monkey see monkey do then this wooden camera will sure be a hit. I cannot wait to see Isabella’s face when she gets this.
As Isabella is the middle child and the last daughter so the poor little chicken gets a million hand me downs, so the clothes from @mytinywardrobe will go absolutely beautifully with her personality and keep her stylish and girlie…..she is a little rough around the edges but loves beautiful and delicate fabrics and rompers.
I am also investing in some face paint for Bella. I like to encourage the girls to be creative (within reason) and I really want to nurture the messy play aspect (as long as it doesn’t ruin the carpet, floors or walls) So I am on the hunt, sorry I cannot recommend where to purchase from. But any hints or tips for face paint that doesn’t stay on for very long or stain the house would be greatly appreciated!!!!
4 to 6 years
As they grow taller, so does the need for new bikes. That’s where we are at for Olivia. A new Bike. Although she is determined to have one without training wheels we still need to get her a taller one so her knees stop hitting her earlobes…..Sorry Hun!! This we will be grabbing from @Kmart we have purchased their last 4 bikes from there and have been really happy with them (mind you I am not the one who puts them together)
Heading to school next year Olivia is obsessed with all things learning……Time telling has been one of them. So I thought we could grab her an analogue watch and when I saw the gorgeous pieces from @marlee_and_co I knew she would be in love. The blush rose gold has her name all over it (not to mention they have an adult range now…….oh god watch out (maybe I will add one for me)!!!!!
Having two girls close in age I find they have the desire for the same toys, clothes, drink bottles ect. I do try to get them different things but then that does always end in some sort of argument. I will be adding a @behindthetrees camera to Olivia’s stocking as well this year as I know if one has one they other will want to play with it as well. Better to be safe and have two then sorry and have one I say!!! The only issue is do I get them the same colour or different?! Hehe!
I like to add one really nice dress into her Christmas present each year and I can never get enough of @designermelbounekidz dresses. They are amazing quality and allow the girls to play and climb and explore and still wear the gorgeous tutus they want.
10 to 12 years
WOW!
This age is HARD!!!
Every thing Ava wants is practical!!!! Her list amazes me. All she wants is new clothes, swimmers, shoes Nike to be exact and a wallet.
So the clothes we have been crushing on for her age group have been @bardotjunior or @eveslittlesister which are both found at @myer….Their age group gets so hard without dressing them as mini me’s!!!
Ava will also get some gorgeous body perfume and lip balm made by Urban Rituellel which we have ordered from @prettyshoreboutique. This cute little perfume and lip balm feels VERY age appropriate with this age group and gets them feeling a little older without being 18!!!
Lastly her wallet….I defiantly know we are getting her one, But from where I am unsure. I again am trying to be age conscious without buying her something too grown up. (I know I am old school) so any tips or online stores will be greatly appreciated.
I hope this has helped in one way or another, Don’t forget, to keep your eyes peeled on Instagram (each post will give you a chance to win one of the above gifts for the age groups) to know when tag your friends and share their story about why they should win one of the Gifts from my guide to help them out at Christmas time. After all. It is the time of giving xxx
